Weststar Maxus MIFA 9: RM270K (Luxury) and RM290K (Premium), 435km WLTP range
By CARSIFU | 10 November 2023KUALA LUMPUR: The Weststar Maxus MIFA 9 all-electric luxury seven-seater MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) comes priced at RM269,888 (Luxury variant) and RM289,888 (Premium variant).
The first 100 owners will get a free 22kWh AC charger.
Vehicle warranty is 5-years or 100,000km (whichever is first), and battery warranty is 8-years or 200,000km (whichever is first).
Drive is to the front wheels, and it promises a single-charge range of up to 435km (based on WLTP).
It has a 90kWh ternary lithium battery, and comes with 180kW and 350Nm of torque.
The 0 to 100kph sprint is done in 9.2 seconds.
Regarding battery charging, it will take 8 hours and 30 minutes for a 5% to 100% charge via slow AC charging, or just 30 minutes for a 30% to 80% charge via fast DC charging.

The guest of honour at a recent launch event was Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Safety technologies on the MIFA 9 include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Fatigue Monitor, and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear Collision Warning, and a 360-degree camera view system.
The Luxury variant has front and rear powered sunroof, 19-inch wheels with 235/55 tyres, tyre pressure monitoring system, polyurethane and PVC leather upholstery, powered front seats, powered reclining second row seats (knitted fabric with foam layer) with heating, massage and ventilation; electric tailgate and powered dual sliding doors, multizone climate control, second-row controls, and a built-in air purifier, mobile wireless charging, and 8 audio speakers.
Upgrades on the higher-priced Premium variant include self-healing tyres, a heated steering wheel, a mix of leather and PVC leather upholstery, powered front seats with ventilation, heating, massage; memory function for driver's seat, chamois coated luxury second row seats, 12 audio speakers, and a streaming media rearview mirror.
In a statement, the group also highlighted that it recently introduced the Weststar Maxus eDeliver3, a fully electric three-panel commercial van and a customer is MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd, the country's leading sugar producer.
