Volvo XC90 B5 mild hybrid unveiled from RM386,800
By CARSIFU | 18 February 2022KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Car Malaysia has introduced the new Volvo XC90 B5 Inscription Plus, a mild hybrid under the B badge line.
This new variant, priced from RM386,842, joins the XC90 Recharge T8 Inscription Plus flagship in the large SUV offering.
The XC90 B5 Inscription Plus's integrated electrified powertrain combines an advanced kinetic energy recovery braking system with an internal combustion engine to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Its 4-cylinder turbocharged engine delivers 249hp and 350Nm of torque, is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission with Geartronic.
Volvo Car Malaysia managing director Charles Frump said new mild hybrid variant allows its customers the flexibility to choose the powertrain that best suits their motoring needs.
The XC90 B5 Inscription Plus retains Volvo’s signature features of a 360° surround view camera, 20-inch wheels and a Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound Audio System.
Safety features such as Lane Keeping Aid, Cross Traffic Alert and City Safety with Autobrake in the XC90 B5 Inscription Plus underlines Volvo Car Malaysia’s unwavering commitment to developing the safest cars possible.
The XC90 B5 Inscription Plus comes in four different colours and are now available at all authorised Volvo dealers in Peninsular Malaysia.
For East Malaysia, the XC90 B5 will be available at showrooms from March 5 onwards.
