SHANGHAI: The Volkswagen Tayron X sport utility vehicle (SUV) has been launched in China, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Two engine variants are offered, namely an entry level model with 186bhp and 320Nm of torque and a sportier model with 220bhp and 350Nm of torque.
The new Tayron X is the production version of the Volkswagen SUV coupe concept which debuted at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show.
The Tayron X is the coupe version of the standard Tayron SUV which has been sold in China since late 2018.
