Updated Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain unveiled from RM147,000
By CARSIFU | 17 June 2022KUALA LUMPUR: Isuzu Malaysia has unveiled its updated D-Max X-Terrain flagship variant, featuring more convenience equipment now.
On-the-road without insurance prices for the 3.0-litre 4X4 twin cabin pick-up truck are slightly higher at RM146,938 for Peninsular Malaysia, RM148,561 (Sabah) and RM148,330 (Sarawak).
Among the new enhancements are a 360˚ Around-View Monitor, Qi wireless smartphone charging pad, exclusive lighted scuff plates and LED welcome lights.
The X-Terrain comes with two new colour of Silky Pearl White and Onyx Black to complement the existing Valencia Orange.
Aside from providing a bird’s eye view when reverse gear is selected, the Around-View Monitor also features a selectable 3D guide in the nine-inch central display to aid in tight parking spaces.
The Qi wireless charging pad enables convenient charging of smartphones, while the lighted scuff plates for all four doors provided the X-Terrain with a classy appearance in addition to protecting door sills from scratches.
The LED welcome lights under the vehicle, a popular customer requested item, illuminate the surrounding foot areas when the doors of the X-Terrain are unlocked.
Isuzu Malaysia chief executive officer Shunsuke Okazoe said the new-generation D-Max remained the company's source of pride as it bridged the gap between how pick-up trucks should perform and what customers desired.
“The flagship D-Max X-Terrain in particular sought to ensure customers enjoyed some truly standout features that make their motoring safer and more pleasurable,” he said.
Meanwhile, Isuzu Malaysia chief operating officer Kenkichi Sogo said the X-Terrain's inspiring safety, comfort and go-anywhere, do-anything versatility has led to a gradual migration of saloon car owners.
“I believe that with these new added features and colour choices, the D-Max X-Terrain will continue to appeal to many more who will be tempted to convert,” he said.
The rugged vehicle is available for booking immediately at all authorised Isuzu showrooms with deliveries to begin in mid-July.
The model won five local ‘Pick-up Truck of the Year’ titles since its debut a year ago and has proven to be as one of the most capable, versatile and sophisticated trucks in the market today.
