Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X to arrive early 2024

KUALA LUMPUR: The much talked about Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X models are expected to be made available in Malaysia in the early first quarter of next year.
The Speed 400 is estimated at RM26,900 and the Scrambler 400 X at RM29,900. (Prices exclude registration and insurance).
Both the Scrambler 400 X and Speed 400 use the 398cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC, single-cylinder engine that delivers 39.5hp at 8,000rpm and torque at 37.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.
Transmission is six-speed and fuel is fed from a 13-litre tank.
Both bikes are fitted with ride-by-wire throttle and only the Scrambler 400 X is fitted switchable ABS for off-roading purposes.
The Speed 400 with a weight of 170kg comes with 17-inch wheels, while that Scrambler is heavier at 179kg gets front 19-inch and rear 17-inch wheels.
