Honda Civic now serves the army

PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia has delivered 40 units of the Civic to the Royal Military Police Corps for law enforcement and policing duties.

This delivery marks the inaugural presentation by Honda Malaysia to the army.

"The Civic will be used by the military police for their daily enforcement duties. Honda Malaysia is proud that the Civic has been selected as their vehicle of choice.

"Previously, the police force had also chosen the Civic as their new mobile patrol vehicles and we are currently delivering more than 1,000 units of the Civic 1.8S to them," said Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Toichi Ishiyama.

The Civic is a popular choice among Malaysians as well. The locally assembled Civic has sold more than 5,600 units as of August.
