Tesla puts up 4 DC chargers in Skudai rest area and two AC chargers at Shangri-La Hotel
By CARSIFU | 16 December 2024PETALING JAYA: More fast chargers have sprung up in the Tesla Malaysia network, which now offers the cheapest fast charging rate of RM1.13 per kW.
It announced today the opening of a V4 Supercharging Station in Skudai R&R (south-bound), comprising four Superchargers (DC fast chargers).
Tesla Malaysia also said two Destination Chargers (11kW AC chargers) are now available for Tesla car owners at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
With a peak Supercharging rate at 250kW, it takes 5 minutes to charge up a Tesla to 120km of range.
An idle fee of RM4 per minute is imposed to ensure users don't hog the bays after completing their charging.
Tesla now operates 13 Supercharging stations with 60 Superchargers and 13 Destination charging stations comprising 64 AC chargers in Malaysia.
More DC and AC chargers are coming in 2025 as Tesla aims to provide extensive coverage across Malaysia.
Tesla's model line-up in Malaysia are the Model 3 and Model Y.
