Tesla Model Y officially in Malaysia: 3 variants, RM199K to RM288K

In a statement, the company said Model Y is available in three trims: Model Y (rear-wheel drive, 455km range, at RM199,000), Model Y Long Range (all-wheel drive, 533km range, at RM246,000) and Model Y Performance (all-wheel drive, 514km range, at RM288,000), with estimated delivery dates in early 2024.
Malaysian customers enjoy full import and excise duties exemption for newly registered zero-emission Tesla electric vehicles (completely built-up electric vehicles) along with 100% road tax exemption.
Tesla owners may also claim individual income tax relief of up to RM2,500 on expenses related to the cost of installation, rental, and purchase, including hire-purchase equipment or subscription fees for EV charging facilities, for the assessment year of 2023.
The Model Y is the best-selling all-electric SUV in the world and has 5-star safety ratings from NHTSA and Euro NCAP.
As a mid-size SUV, Model Y offers over 2,100 litres of cargo space.
It only takes 3.7 seconds for the Model Y Performance to accelerate from 0 to 100kph, with a range of up to 514km (WLTP) per charge.
Model Y comes with an all-glass roof, autopilot, active safety features, HEPA air filtration system and Bioweapon Defence mode.
