Tesla Model 3 arrives: RM189K (Rear-Wheel Drive), RM218K (Long Range)
By CARSIFU | 19 October 2023KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla has officially unveiled the refreshed Model 3 in two variants in Malaysia, and they are priced at RM189,000 (Rear-Wheel Drive, WLTP range 513km) and RM218,000 (Long Range dual motor All-Wheel Drive, WLTP range 629km).
Buyers can place orders at www.tesla.com/en_my/model3.
Deliveries will start in late 2023.
Basic vehicle warranty is 4 years or 80,000km (whichever is first).
Regarding the battery and drive unit warranty, the Rear-Wheel Drive variant comes with 8 years or 160,000km (whichever is first) while the Long
Range variant gets 8 years or 192,000km (whichever is first).
Exterior colour options are Pearl White Multi-Coat (included); Solid Black (extra RM5,000); Deep Blue Metallic (extra RM5,000); Stealth Grey (extra RM7,500) and Ultra Red (extra RM11,000).
The Model 3 has 18-inch wheels, a black interior and Basic Autopilot as standard, but Long Range variant buyers can opt for 19-inch wheels (extra RM7,500), a black and white interior (extra RM5,000) and Enhanced Autopilot with Automatic Lane Change and Automatic Parking (extra (RM16,000).
Model 3 buyers can also opt for the Full Self-Driving package upgrade (RM32,000).
Tesla says the Model 3 cabin is now quieter than ever, thanks to the 360-degree acoustic all-glass roof.
The dashboard is dominated by a 15.4-inch center touchscreen display, to control driving features and cabin settings.
New features include ambient lighting, ventilated seats, an 8-inch second-row touchscreen with access to climate controls and entertainment, a redesigned centre console, and new wheel options.
There's a new Tesla-designed premium audio system and Rear-Wheel Drive variant gets 9 speakers with a single amplifier, while the Long Range variant has 17 speakers, including dual subwoofers and dual amplifiers.
A wireless charging pad can charge two phones at the same time, and phone calls are said to be crystal-clear with upgraded microphones.
Users can also fast-charge laptops with one front and two rear USB-C charging ports, each with up to 65W of power.
The launch event was held at Pavilion Damansara Heights shopping mall, and it also marked the opening of the first Tesla experience centre in Malaysia.
The flagship centre, spanning 3,000 square feet, serves the affluent communities of Bangsar and Damansara Heights.
It showcases the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, alongside various Tesla charging solutions and merchandise.
