Tesla Malaysia kicks off 'Refer and Earn' programme
By CARSIFU | 23 October 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla Malaysia today announced the start of a "Refer and Earn" programme as it strives to pump up sales of the Model 3 and Model Y.
Tesla owners will receive RM1,050 worth of credits for each person referred and who takes delivery of the car. Credits can be used to pay for DC fast charging at Tesla's "Superchargers", merchandise or service payments.
The first 10 individuals who buy a new Tesla using the Tesla owner’s referral code will enjoy RM2,100 off their purchase price.
Here's how it works:
> Tesla owners access unique referral links through Tesla app.
> Share the referral link with friends and family to place order.
> Earn rewards once the referred individual takes delivery of their new Tesla.
Go to this Tesla page for more details on the referral programme.
As part of Tesla Malaysia's campaign to boost sales, it is also touting a zero-interest payment plan.
Newly appointed Tesla Malaysia regional manager for sales & delivery Karen Teo said Tesla is offering the 0% interest rate and a minimum downpayment of 10%, with loan tenure of up to nine years on both models.
Prices start from RM181,000 for the Model 3, and from RM191,000 for the Model Y.
Go to the Model 3 and Model Y pages to find out more details and terms to qualify for the hire-purchase deals set by Tesla Malaysia and participating banks.
Today's announcement coincided with the official launch of three Tesla 11kW AC chargers at the EQ Hotel here. CarSifu had highlighted earlier this month that the Tesla "Destination" chargers have been installed at the hotel's LG1 basement parking lot. It is restricted for use to Tesla car owners.
The Tesla charging facility at EQ is the second one after the one at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and are located within the city's "golden triangle" that is the hub of shopping, entertainment and commerce.
Following the AC charger launch at the hotel, Tesla Malaysia and EQ are co-hosting a test-drive event at the hotel from Oct 23-27.
Visit this Tesla page or call 1800 8106 55 for more information or to schedule a test-drive appointment.
The hotel lobby, meanwhile, is also featuring a pop-up display of a Model 3 to showcase the latest Tesla technologies to Equatorial Plaza tenants, EQ guests and patrons.
At present, Tesla provides 12 Supercharging stations with 56 Superchargers and 14 Destination Charging
stations with 72 Destination chargers in Malaysia.
More Tesla charging stations will be opened in Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Shah Alam.
