Tesla adds supercharging station in Melaka
By CARSIFU | 17 November 2023MELAKA: Tesla unveiled its first supercharging station in Melaka at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet.
The Tesla V3 supercharging station enables seamless and fast charging cross-country road trips for Tesla owners in both Malaysia and Singapore.
The supercharging station, which is Tesla's fourth in the country, features four Superchargers and one Destination charger.
Tesla now has a total of 20 Superchargers in the country.
The Supercharging rate at the Melaka location is RM1.25 per kWh with 24-hour operation hours.
An idle fee of up to RM4 per minute is levied if the Supercharging station is fully occupied.
The V3 Supercharging with a peak efficiency of 250kW, enables a Model 3 to recharge up to 282km of range in just 15 minutes.
Integrated support for Tesla vehicles and the mobile app enables owners to effortlessly navigate, precondition the vehicle battery, and access the charging station for a fast and hassle-free charging experience.
This includes real-time monitoring of charger availability, charging status, payment, and technical support, among other features.
Tesla will also be offering its Wall Connector soon which provides home charging at a rate of up to 71km of range per hour using a 3-phase supply.
