Team Maxxis wins Rainforest Challenge 2017

PETALING JAYA: Team Maxxis 4x4 Malaysia has won the championship title of the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) 2017 which was held from recently in Pahang.

This victory marks a historical hat-trick win for Team Maxxis as they have previously won the challenge since 2015. This marks a significant milestone in the 21 year history of the Rainforest Challenge.

RFC 2017 attracted participants from over 36 nations including Russia, Hong Kong/China, Equador, Colombia, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Philippines and India.

The teams went through the most challenging terrains in the natural rainforest of Pahang which started at Balok, Kuantan on Nov 25 and ended at Sebarau, Pahang on Dec 5.

The vehicle number 119 was driven by Chang Chiew Shen, the champion driver for the last two years, and new co-driver August Rambil, emerged champions yet again by out-beating one of the most respected Russian teams., vehicle number 104 driven by Roman Kulbak and co-driver Pavel Kovalenko.
