Stellantis Malaysia unveils the Peugeot E-3008 with local launch under study
By CARSIFU | 05 December 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Stellantis in Malaysia unveiled the Peugeot E-3008 at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 to highlight the French auto brand's capability to produce electrified versions of the 3008 SUV.
At the moment, Stellantis is still reviewing its plans to introduce the electrified E-3008 for the local market as Stellantis unit Leapmotor is currently spearheading the automotive group's electric vehicle business in Malaysia.
Sharing similar underpinnings with the internal combustion engine-powered 3008, the E-3008 is available in hybrid, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants.
The hybrid variant promises an output of 136hp, the PHEV an output of 195hp and the BEV up 230hp.
The estimated driving range varies from 550km to 700km depending on the electrified variant.
The onboard charger of the PHEV supports 7kW while the BEV's is higher 22kW.
Aside from the stylish SUV fastback design, the E-3008 also comes with the signature Peugeot prominent grille, Pixel LED headlights, 3D rear LED taillights, a 21-inch HD curved display, a boot space of 520 litres and alloy wheels of 19- or 20-inch.
Its length of 4,450mm, wheelbase of 2,730mm, width of 1,890mm and height of 1,640mm promise a spacious interior for all on-board.
Showcased along the E-3008 at KLIMS that ends on Dec 11 are the Peugeot 2008, 3008, 5008, 408 and Landtrek, along with Leapmotor C10.
Special deals, rebates and maintenance packages are available for those who register Stellantis models at the show.
The C10, which retails at RM159,000, now comes with a limited time introductory price of RM149,000 for bookings done until Dec 31.
