Priced from RM248,888 (without insurance and road tax), the latest Next-Gen Ranger Raptor 2.0L Bi-Turbo comes with a five-year or 160,000km warranty (whichever comes first) and a seven-year PremiumCare extended warranty package as an optional extra.
The Next-Gen Ranger Raptor 2.0L Bi-Turbo comes with the recognisable Raptor Scheme for the front and rear bumpers and the Ford Block front grille flanked by LED Matrix C-Clamp headlamps while the getting LEDs as well for the front and rear fog lamps, and rear combination lights.
Its 2.0-litre bi-turbodiesel engine delivers 210PS at 3,750RPM and 500Nm of torque from 1,750 to 2,000RPM.
Power is managed by a 10-Speed Automatic Transmission with SelectShift with paddle-shifters and an electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) system for the 4WD system (4A/2H/4H/4L).
The suspension uses a front double-wishbone with FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shock absorbers and rear coil springs with Watts Linkage.
Meanwhile, the performance pick-up truck also comes with an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio speaker controlled by a 12-inch portrait touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition and SYNC® 4A.
The four USB ports in the cabin are one Type-C and Type-A for front occupants as well as a Type-C and Type-A for the rear passengers.
For safety, there’s the standard inclusion of seven airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist, hill descent control, hill launch assist, rollover mitigation, adaptive load control as well as front and rear parking sensors.
Safety is further enhanced by autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, brake override system, lane departure warning and assist, blindspot detection system, high beam assist, rear cross-traffic alert, manual speed limiter, tyre-pressure monitoring system and a 360-degree camera system.
