Special edition Vespa 946 Dragon unveiled from RM103,888
By A. NACHI | 31 May 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Vespa Malaysia has introduced the 946 Dragon special edition that pays homage to the 2024 Chinese Year of the Dragon.
Launched in conjunction with Italy's 78th National Day celebration here, the unique edition is priced at RM103,888 (excluding registration and road tax).
The 946 garnered attention at EICMA 2012 where it won "Best in Show" award.
The 946's name traces back to the year 1946 where the original Vespa originated.
The 946 series is synonymous with limited editions that are highly sought after by collectors.
The single-seater 946 Dragon is adorned with a textured dragon motif and features a gold frame with contrasting emerald green accents.
The 946 Dragon collection includes a helmet, fly screen and rear bag that are sold separately.
The helmet, in a gold tone, comes with a dragon graphic that mirrors the special edition’s design while the rear bag and matching the saddle material is made in Italy specifically for 946 Dragon.
The 956 Dragon is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, three-valve air-cooled engine with dual-channel ABS.
Both front and rear brakes feature 220mm discs.
The front suspension is a single arm with a coil spring and single shock absorber-type while the rear suspension uses a single hydraulic shock absorber adjustable to five positions.
The 946 Dragon is available for the public viewing from the second week of June at Motoplex showrooms in Petaling Jaya, Sungai Buloh, Butterworth and Johor Bahru.
