SUBANG JAYA: Smart Malaysia has launched an unusual customer loyalty program based on a blockchain system.
Based on the Geno W3-D2C (Web3 Direct-to-Customer) blockchain technology, the rewards platform delivers a transparent, customer-centric ecosystem
designed to reward meaningful interactions.
Customers can earn points through everyday activities such as social interactions, referrals, and driving.
According to Smart Malaysia, the program ensures enhanced transparency, security and customers control over data.
At the heart of the program are smart Points, which never expire and are secured on blockchain-based smart contracts.
For the first time, all loyalty activities are unified on a single digital platform that integrates with the Hello smart App.
The new smart rewards program introduces three key ways for customers to earn points: Social-to-Earn, where users can engage with smart on social media and earn points for actions like sharing, liking, or being featured; Referral-to-Earn encourages current customers to invite friends to experience the smart brand, rewarding both the referrer and the referred for actions like signing up, test driving, or buying a vehicle; and Drive-to-Earn, a feature currently in development, allows smart car owners to earn rewards by sharing their driving data to aid product improvement.
These initiatives encourage customers to co-create and grow with the brand community, designed to create a deeper sense of engagement, participation and loyalty recognition.
Customers can redeem smart Points for a range of rewards, including merchandise available on the Hello smart App and free EV charging sessions.
The charging redemption offer significant value, providing electric vehicle owners with cost-effective ways to recharge, enhancing their overall driving experience.
The announcement on the loyalty program coincides with Smart Malaysia's first anniversary.
Smart owners will mark this milestone at the "SmartAway Gathering" set for this month.
