smart Malaysia expands DC charging network
By CARSIFU | 03 November 2023SHAH ALAM: smart Malaysia has rolled out three additional high-powered DC fast charging stations at selected smart dealerships, following the recent unveiling of the 100kW DC fast charging station at the Proton Centre of Excellence along the KESAS highway.
Central
smart Glenmarie (EON Berhad) and smart Ipoh (GB Auto) have been equipped with 60kW DC charging station.
Penang
Fsmart Penang (Eleganz Lifestyle) boasts the highest-powered DC charger, setting a new benchmark for the island.
With a 120kW DC charging capacity, smart Penang is also conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Georgetown.
North
smart Alor Setar (Lee Motors) will introduce a 50kW DC charging station.
Additionally, smart Setia Alam (Wheelcorp EV), smart Johor Bahru (Motor Future), and smart Melaka (Sigma Energy EV) will welcome new DC charging stations with capacities of 60kW and 120kW, respectively, by end-2023.
Real-time charging point information, including availability status, can be accessed through the Hello smart app.
Currently, 70% of public charging points are already integrated into the app.
In the near future, users will also have the ability to make payments through the app, in preparation for the forthcoming smart #1 launch
smart Malaysia is having a nationwide ‘Catch Me If You Can’ dealers showcase with smart #1 BRABUS and Premium.
