Roslan Abdullah is Proton Edar CEO

SUBANG JAYA: Proton has appointed Roslan Abdullah as its vice-president for sales and marketing and chief executive officer of Proton Edar Sdn Bhd.
The appointments take effect today. Roslan succeeds Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa.
Proton Edar is a wholly owned subsidiary of Proton involved in the distribution of cars and providing sales and aftersales services.
Prior to the Proton appointment, Roslan oversaw operations of DRB-Hicom Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd. He was formerly Honda Malaysia president and chief operating officer.
He goes to Proton with nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive sector covering finance, operations and sales.
Roslan is an accountancy graduate from Britain's University of Brighton.
DRB-HIcom has a stake in both Proton and Honda Malaysia.
