Proton e.MAS 7 team turns attention on northern states

PETALING JAYA: The public would by now be familiar with the fact that the Proton e.MAS 7 prototype is on a nationwide tour cum testing until Nov 29.

The next stops are northbound as follows:

Oct 11 – Perak and Penang
Oct 12 – Penang
Oct 13 – Kedah and Perlis
Oct 14 – Perlis

The tour started on Oct 5 with a southbound series of 23 stops including four exclusive dealer previews. That leg covered 894km across the southern states of the peninsula. Sabah and Sarawak would also be included in the tour.

The first-of-its-kind EV adventure introduces the Malaysian public to the future of sustainable mobility while showcasing the e.MAS 7 as it prepares for its launch in December.


The tour was also a chance for Proton engineers to finetune the final specifications of the electric SUV, which Proton said was co-developed with Geely in tandem with the Chinese car maker's Galaxy E5.

A convoy of the E5 drove from China to Malaysia last month and some members of the local media had a chance to test-drive the left-hand-drive SUV.
