Power company Leader Energy switching to EVs in stages

KUALA LUMPUR: Independent power producer Leader Energy Group Berhad today announced it has acquired a number of BMW electric cars for its corporate fleet.
The cars were sourced through BMW dealership Wheelcorp Premium.
Among the cars entering its fleet are i4 eDrive35, i5 eDrive40 M Sport and iX xDrive50.
This initiative marks Leader Energy's first step towards reducing its carbon footprint by switching to electric vehicles. The company plans to further expand its fleet with additional BMW electric cars over the next year.
Leader Energy is also partnering with BMW Group Malaysia to develop several fast-charging stations along the North-South Highway.
