Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade: Rare masterpiece

DEMONSTRATING Porsche’s bespoke abilities that derive its inspiration from the Southeast Asian gemstone before combining it with details and cultural narratives, comes the Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade.

Unveiled in Malaysia during an exclusive event in Genting Highlands, the one-off represents the German sportscar builder’s abilities within the bespoke realm through its Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Sonderwunsch (special wish) programme.

The programme allows for a highly personalised, one-of-a-kind vehicle to be created via the whims and fancies of an owner so that it reflects individual tastes, preferences and personal vision.

Such options include unique near-limitless exterior and interior finishes that can be matched to reimagined body designs and populated with special logos to replace the brand’s Stuttgart coat of arms used on its badge.

This is to ensure that every car built is nothing but a singular creation so that no two vehicles are alike as depicted by the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade.

Here, the Celestial Jade represents the Sonderwunsch programme capabilities that allows customers to work directly with the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur team to incorporate cultural, artistic or personal elements.

The puddle lamps also project the 'LongMa' (Dragon Horse) logo.

As seen with the “LongMa” (Dragon Horse) logo inspired by Chinese mythology, it is said to symbolise strength and luck.

Such a creature was used to represent the combination of the Taycan (young horse) and the Chinese Zodiac Year of the Dragon (2024) and can be seen on the vehicle’s logos, door sills, headrests and door projectors.

Meanwhile, the Jade name draws inspiration from the noble and precious qualities of jade in Asian culture, signifying happiness and longevity.

Seen as an industry-first, the Celestial Jade comes draped in a special gradient Chromaflair paint that blends two bespoke colours of Urban Bamboo (a bright green with yellow and gold tones) and Shifting Carbon (a dark grey with black and blue hues).

The combination of such pigments helps to create a colour-shifting finish that’s been hand-applied over 80 hours to bring about a truly unique paintwork and can be seen on the rear model designation, “Electric” logos on its flanks and the key fob.

The 'LongMa' (Dragon Horse) logo is placed at the front headrests.

Complementing the paintwork are custom carbon-weave finish components that replace the standard inlays with hand-crafted, varnished carbon fibre elements on the front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser and wheel air blades.

Inside, the cabin combines Porsche’s standard Slate Grey leather with the “Leather to Sample” option draped in “Englishgreen”; a dark elegant hue that has also been applied to the doors, seats, and centre console.

The Leather to Sample programme now offers around 150 colours for the Taycan, with the ultra-custom Leather to Sample Plus option allowing customers to create nearly any shade imaginable.

Customers interested in ordering a Porsche or starting a Sonderwunsch project can approach the nearest Porsche Centre in Malaysia to assess the feasibility and scope of their request.

Upon initiating a Sonderwunsch project, customers will receive a unique Porsche ID that allows them access to the factory during the build process (from design concept to final production) as they collaborate directly with the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur team.
