Porsche Malaysia launches CKD Cayenne S E-Hybrid coupé, priced from RM728K
By CARSIFU | 07 January 2025KUALA LUMPUR: The new Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid coupé variant was launched recently, priced from RM728,000.
The sporty SUV is the second model to be assembled in Malaysia and is the first model assembled for regional export.
“Since establishing our local assembly facility in Malaysia in 2022, Porsche has reached several key milestones that highlight the importance of this market. In just one year, more than 1,000 locally assembled Cayennes have been delivered to Malaysian customers,” said Sime Darby Auto Performance CEO Christopher Hunter.
“In 2024, we marked another significant achievement with the launch of the first regionally assembled Cayenne for Thailand, reinforcing our commitment to becoming a strong assembly partner to Porsche in this region. Building on this momentum, we are excited to launch a second model, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid coupé in Malaysia for our customers,” added Hunter.
With 260kW (353PS/348hp), the 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine in the Cayenne S E-Hybrid coupé has 36kW (49PS/48hp) more than the powerplant in the Cayenne E-Hybrid.
Together with the electric motor, system output is 382kW (519PS/512hp).
The SUV coupé accelerates from zero to 100kph in 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 263kph.
The electric-only range is up to 90km.
Exterior paint choices are Carrara White Metallic, Chromite Black Metallic and Dolomite Silver Metallic.
Standard kit includes a new adaptive air suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with two-chamber, two-valve technology.
This improves the driving experience, stabilises the vehicle and simplifies handling on-and off-road compared to both the standard suspension and the previous model.
Other features include 20-inch Cayenne S Design wheels in Vesuvius Grey, a GT Sports steering wheel and the Sport Chrono package with Porsche Design clock, the premium BOSE surround sound system, as well as two choices of smooth-finish leather upholstery in Black or Bordeaux Red with Porsche crests on the front headrests, four-zone climate control, an interior air quality ioniser, 14-way adjustable comfort seats with memory package and electric roll-up sunblinds for the rear side windows, and a new 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment screen.
The redesigned HD Matrix LED headlights come as standard, with two high-definition modules and more than 32,000 pixels per headlamp.
Driver assistance systems and conveniences include Adaptive Cruise Control, ParkAssist including Surround View and Smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay, and Rear Seat Entertainment pre-wiring available as standard.
As an option, two rear screens can be installed for passengers’ viewing pleasure.
The automatic gear selector is now positioned to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard.
This makes room on the new centre console for storage compartments and a large air conditioning controller.
