By CARSIFU | 22 September 2024STUTTGART: Porsche announced that its Korean operations will get a new CEO.
Mathias Busse, 49, takes over from Holger Gerrmann, 54, from Oct 1. Gerrmann is being re-assigned to head Porsche Switzerland.
Busse, an experienced sales leader with over 25 years in the automotive industry, most recently served as Senior Director for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Germany. He brings international experience from his roles in Taiwan and Hamburg, where he demonstrated strong leadership and sales performance.
Busse is expected to bolster Porsche's presence in the rapidly growing Korean market, where Porsche has seen significant expansion.
Gerrmann's tenure in Korea, which began in 2019, was marked by substantial growth, including the launch of Porsche’s first all-electric vehicle, the Taycan.
Under his leadership, Porsche Korea more than doubled its sales, expanded its service network, and enhanced the brand’s presence through new Porsche Studios and pop-up stores.
