Police out to catch road users who run red light
By BERNAMA | 15 December 2020KUALA LUMPUR: Police today launched their Red Light Operation following the high number of offenders caught beating the red light.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Azisman Alias said the operation would be carried out until Dec 31.
He said 52,170 summonses were issued from January to November this year involving 26,764 motorcycles, cars (20,751), lorries (2,208) and 2,447 other vehicles.
He added that a total of 69,267 summonses were issued to road users for beating the red light last year.
