Pininfarina's B95 Gotham aka 'Batman car' to make world debut on Aug 16

TURIN: The bespoke B95 Gotham will be unveiled at this year’s Monterey Car Week (Aug 9-18).

It is Pininfarina's first physical car that is the result of its Wayne Enterprises Experience collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and Relevance International.

As with all four of the Bruce Wayne-inspired editions, the B95 Gotham generates 1,900hp from four electric motors, powering the car from 0-100kph in less than two seconds – the most powerful road car ever produced in Italy. As its name suggests, it is based on the B95 barchetta, which shares the same platform as the Battista coupe.

The Mahindra-owned Pininfarina will debut the ultra-luxury vehicle at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in California on Aug 16.

The B95 Gotham, inspired by billionaire Bruce Wayne—Batman’s alter ego—is a one-of-a-kind creation, designed to reflect Wayne's dual identity as a public tech innovator and Gotham City's masked vigilante.

The physical premiere of the B95 Gotham follows its virtual debut on April 30, where it was introduced alongside three other bespoke vehicles: the Battista Gotham, B95 Dark Knight, and Battista Dark Knight.

Each of these models is a singular creation, ensuring exclusivity and high collectability. While the B95 Gotham showcased at Monterey is a showcar, the first of these client vehicles is currently under construction at Pininfarina’s atelier in Cambiano, Italy.

This luxury car series falls celebrates Batman's 85th anniversary in 2024. The Gotham and Dark Knight specifications embody the two contrasting facets of Wayne's persona—his public life as a suave entrepreneur and his private role as Gotham’s enigmatic hero.

The B95 Gotham's exterior is finished in Argento Vittorio gloss black paint, complemented by unique wheels and Titan calipers.

Inside, the car is upholstered in tan leather with bespoke quilting and features a Wayne Enterprises-inspired HMI display, including a virtual assistant voice modelled after Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s butler. A laser-engraved quote on the driver’s side door plate - “All men have limits... I ignore mine” - adds a final personal touch.

Pininfarina CEO Paolo Dellachà said the partnership with WBDGCP offers a unique platform to reach new audiences and inspire appreciation for Italian craftsmanship, high-performance engineering, and rich storytelling.
