PETALING JAYA: Petronas Lubricants International (PLI) and Grab Malaysia today marked International Women's Day 2024 by teaming up to shine a light on the unsung heroes of the delivery world: women riders.
At an event held across several Petronas stations in the Klang Valley, more than 200 female delivery-partners were celebrated for their resilience and dedication to their work.
The highlight of the day was the distribution of special care packages, which included a litre of Petronas Sprinta lubricant for motorcycles, along with Petronas and Grab merchandise.
These tokens of appreciation were handed out at three locations: Petronas Jalan Kolam Ayer in Ampang, Petronas Lingkaran Karak in Gombak, and Petronas USJ 20 in Subang Jaya.
In addition to these gifts, the women were offered complimentary basic technical inspections for their motorcycles.
Siti Norsakinah Mohd Nazir and Nur Adibah Haripin spoke about the joy and sense of independence their work brings them, highlighting how such recognition programs motivate them to continue striving for excellence.
The collaboration between PLI and Grab seeks to empower women in traditionally male-dominated fields. Grab's focus on safety, through features like secure authentication, in-app safe communication, and GPS-based monitoring, ensures that female delivery-partners can perform their tasks with confidence and security.
