“The Nissan Almera Turbo embodies what we at Edaran Tan Chong Motor aspire to offer – high-tech, high-value products that are not only affordable to own, but also fun to drive and economical to run,” said Christopher Tan, director of sales and marketing at Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd.
Powered by technological innovations under the Nissan Intelligent Mobility and Nissan Safety Shield 360 initiatives, the Almera Turbo is one of the most advanced B-sedans, offering cutting-edge driving aids such as Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW) and Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking (IFEB) that are standard across all three variants, with the top VLT grade adding Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) 360-degree camera with Moving Object Detection (IMOD).
To achieve its impressive fuel economy rating of 18.4km per litre, the Nissan Almera Turbo utilises the Mirror Bore Coating technology derived from the iconic R35 Nissan GT-R in its turbocharged engine to reduce friction and heat, supported by the ultra-efficient XTRONIC Continuously Variable Transmission with D-Step Logic and Sport Mode.
The Almera Turbo’s 152Nm from its 1.0-litre turbocharged engine comfortably eclipses the torque outputs of competitors’ 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engines.
Inspired by a ‘Gliding Wing’, the Almera Turbo’s instrument panel design is contemporary and finished with premium materials that mixes chrome, piano black, carbon-fibre pattern finishes and a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel for a truly sporty cabin ambience.
The Nissan Almera also engages the driver with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto)and colourful 7-inch semi-digital meter cluster while pampering passengers at the back with generous legroom courtesy of Almera’s long wheelbase of 2,620mm.
