LONDON: The pioneering Renault Zoe electric vehicle (EV) is back with a third-generation iteration.
Touted as the most popular EV sold in Europe, the latest Zoe is being sold in the UK from £26,170 (RM135,000) while sporting a new 52kWh Z.E. 50 battery.
This allows the Zoe to travel up to 394km on a single full charge - 32% more over its 41kWh predecessor, while using 100% recycled plastics for its exterior cladding and cabin.
This EV rolls out of the French carmaker's Flins (France) manufacturing plant and comes included with a free (including installation) 7kW BP Chargemaster Homecharger unit for new customers.
Being 50kWh rapid charge compliant, charging for 30 minutes will allow this EV to travel up to 145km.
Furthermore, single pedal driving is possible thanks to its new regenerative B-Mode braking system.
New customers are assured of a five-year, 162,000km vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 162,000km traction battery warranty.
At current, the restyled Zoe can be had in two variants (in nine colour options) starting with the 80kW R110 and a range-topping 100kW R135.
Features include full-LED automatic high/low headlights with as standard and new customers have the option of the choosing three wheel sizes (15, 16 and 17-inch).
Inside, the cabin features a customisable 10-inch TFT instrument cluster as standard as well as a 9.3-inch portrait-style multimedia screen mated to a Bose sound system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard for audiophiles.
For safety and convenience, the Zoe is equipped with lane-keeping assist, easy park assist, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, reverse camera and a three-year 4G data pack.
Lastly, three trim levels of Play, Iconic, and a sporty GT Line can be specified.
