New Nissan Murano shows up
By CARSIFU | 18 October 2024YOKOHAMA: The 2025 Nissan Murano made its global debut on Thursday at Nissan Americas Headquarters, revealing its premium design and extensive list of new features and technologies.
The fourth-generation Murano will be sold only in the United States and Canada in early 2025. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
Academy Award-winning actress and Nissan brand ambassador Brie Larson unveiled the new Murano to employees and the media, adding extra star power to the introduction of a crossover that delivers a premium experience without the premium price tag.
The new crossover adds numerous new available features, including several Murano firsts:

The new Murano showcases a striking redesign with increased width, flared rear fenders, and a clean, modern look. Key exterior features include ultra-thin "Crystal Cube" LED headlights, a gloss-black trim strip separating the grille, and a distinctive rear tail light spanning the width of the vehicle. The liftgate features a hidden rear wiper and exhaust tips, contributing to its refined appearance.
Inside, the Murano offers a minimalist and elegant design, highlighted by dual 12.3-inch displays, capacitive-touch climate controls, and push-button shifters.
High-quality materials and thoughtful details, such as the Murano Glass dashboard finisher, enhance the cabin’s luxurious feel.
The interior offers three colour themes inspired by California’s golden hour, with available semi-aniline quilted leather seats on the Platinum grade.
Premium features include a panoramic moonroof, heated and cooled seats, and 64-colour ambient lighting. Rear passengers benefit from increased legroom, heated seats, and wider rear doors for easier access.
The 2025 Murano comes equipped with Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 as standard, offering a suite of driver-assistance technologies.
A first for Murano, the available 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor provides multiple vantage points, while the Invisible Hood View helps drivers spot obstacles in tight spaces. ProPILOT Assist, standard on SV and Platinum grades, uses navigation data to adjust speed for a smoother highway driving experience.
Under the hood, a 2.0-litre VC-Turbo engine delivers 241hp and 352Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The Murano offers front-wheel drive on the SV trim, while SL and Platinum trims feature Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. The suspension system has been updated with frequency-sensitive dampers for improved ride and handling.
Nissan also touts the vehicle's connectivity, offering standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the SV trim, with Google built-in on SL and Platinum.
Charging options include USB-C ports in the front and rear, along with a wireless charging pad. A Bose 10-speaker audio system is available on higher trims for an enhanced audio experience.
Murano is rated to tow up to 680kg.
