PETALING JAYA: Didi Group, the official distributor of the Moto Guzzi brand in Malaysia, has unveiled the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello line-up which combines the sporty performance of a roadster with the comfort of a touring bike.

Featuring cutting-edge technologies, the V100 Mandello is built at Moto Guzzi's iconic factory in Mandello de Lario, Italy.

The V100 Mandello is powered by Moto Guzzi's first "compact block" 1,042cc 90-degree transverse V-twin that delivers 115hp and 105Nm of torque and mated to a six-speed transmission.

In the V100 Mandello S, the transmission comes with an electronic quick shift system.

The front suspension of the V100 Mandello is the hydraulic telescopic 41mm USD fork which is adjustable in spring preload and rebound, while the rear is an aluminium single-sided swingarm with left-hand single shock and adjustable in spring preload in rebound.

On the V100 Mandello S, the suspension system is the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active type.

The semi-active suspension system allows simple and customised calibration of the fork and shock absorbers with two operating modes of semi-active and manual, both of which can be selected using the buttons on the handlebar.

The motorcycle is also the world's first to get an adaptive aerodynamics system that automatically adjusts the position of deflectors on the sides of the 17-litre fuel tank depending on the speed and selected riding mode.

It also has an electronic-adjust top fairing that protects riders from on-rushing air.

Other standard equipment includes a full LED light cluster with DRL, the “bending lights” system which has a pair of additional lights in the parabolas to illuminate the inside of the turn when leaning, the USB port located in the storage compartment beneath the passenger seat, cruise control and 5-inch TFT colour instrumentation.

Meanwhile, Moto Guzzi MIA, the multimedia platform that allows a smartphone to be connected to the motorcycle's instrumentation via Bluetooth, is only available in the V100 Mandello S.

Also reserved for the V100 Mandello S are heated hand grips and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The motorcycle also comes with four riding modes of Tour, Rain, Road and Sport that manage three different types of engine mapping, four levels of traction control, two levels of engine braking and the opening of the side deflectors.

The V100 Mandello is available in Bianco Polare and Rosso Magma, while the V100 Mandello S comes in Verde 2121 and Grigio Avanguardia.

There is also the V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale version, limited to just 1,913 numbered units to commemorate the strong bond that has endured for more than a century between Moto Guzzi and the Italian Navy.

However, Didi Group is not expected to offer this edition in Malaysia.
