New 11-seater Kia Grand Carnival launched
By CARSIFU | 18 May 2020PETALING JAYA: Naza Kia Malaysia has launched the new Kia Grand Carnival MPV priced at RM179,888 (on-the-road without insurance) which can carry up to 11 occupants, putting it in competition with the 11-seater Hyundai Starex and 10-seater Maxus G10.
The Grand Carnival was previously a three-row eight-seater.
This model was designed to maximise space through flexibility with the Multiflex seats variation which allows an adjustable seating layout to meet the needs of the modern family.
The new Grand Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre TCI diesel engine, which produces 200PS at 3,800rpm and maximum torque of 440Nm from 1,750rpm and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
It comes with five years' manufacturer's warranty and the colour options are Snow White Pearl, Silky Silver, Aurora Black Pearl and Panthera Metal.
The MPV rides on 18-inch clean silver alloy wheels wrapped in 235/60 tyres giving the large vehicle a better grip and a smoother ride on the road.
Its exclusive look on the front also features the halogen projector headlamps and halogen projector fog lamps.
The MPV features power sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle which can be opened manually or automatically with just the flick of a switch, a 3.5-inch mono LCD cluster meter and shark-fin antenna.
The MPV brings more value and convenience to families being equipped with new upgrades such as a new roof rack, automatic windows with safety lock, 7.0-inch touchscreen HMI (human-machine interface) which houses Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition at the steering wheel control and an additional USB charging port on its fourth row.
“The new Grand Carnival offers dynamic Multiflex seating configurations whether it is for 6, 7, 8 or 11 occupants which make it ideal for those who are looking for more flexible space and capacity, be it having more passengers on board or traveling with their luggage,” said Group CEO, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings, Datuk Nik Hamdam Nik Hassan.
“We are proud to be bringing in the new Grand Carnival, one of Malaysia’s most recognisable MPVs which has just received an upgrade to provide greater flexibility in the cabin space, setting a new benchmark in the MPV segment for the experience and comfort it can bring to large families," he said.
