Modenas bestseller now equipped with ABS, yours for RM9,655
By CARSIFU | 20 December 2019SHAH ALAM: Modenas has introduced a new variant of its best-selling Pulsar model, the NS200 ABS, which is now fitted with an antilock braking system (ABS).
The Pulsar NS200 ABS is priced at RM9,655 and is offered in a choice of four colours: Graphite Black, Mirage White, Wild Red and Yellow.
The NS200 ABS is the most affordable naked street-bike in the Pulsar lineup. Coupled with the Pulsar 200cc DTS-i engine that produces peak power of 18kW and a maximum torque of 18.6Nm, the NS200 ABS is said to offer a smoother ride with optimum fuel efficiency.
The ABS function prevents the brakes from locking and skidding when a rider applies brake suddenly in an emergency situation. This ensures the rider has control of the machine, maintaining stability apart from reducing its stopping distance.
The ABS regulates the machine’s braking pressure, ensuring riding stability and manoeuvrability of the motorcycle, even where there are adverse driving conditions such as sand, loose chippings or water.
Recent studies show that a rider that uses a machine equipped with ABS can reduce injuries by up to 39% in the event of a crash, when compared to the same non-ABS-equipped motorcycles.
"Bikes with ABS are safer and we highly encourage those looking to get a bike to buy one equipped with ABS,” said Modenas CEO Roslan Roskan.
The Pulsar NS200 ABS is now available at all Modenas dealerships nationwide.
