MINI Malaysia launches 2025 Cooper SE, Cooper S, Countryman SE ALL4 and JCW Countryman ALL4

KUALA LUMPUR: MINI Malaysia has launched four new 2025 models (including two fully electrified models) namely the Cooper SE, Cooper S, Countryman SE ALL4 and JCW Countryman ALL4.

Benjamin Nagel, managing director of BMW Group Malaysia, meanwhile, said, "Today, we are thrilled to introduce the New MINI Family here in Malaysia! With this reinvention and electrifying line-up, MINI continues to inspire with its iconic design and hallmark urban driving fun, while taking a bold step toward a fully electric future."

The new Cooper SE delivers 218hp and 330Nm of torque, bringing the all-electric, 3-door model from 0 to 100kph in just 6.7 seconds, capped at a top speed of 170 km/h.

In comparison, the petrol-powered Cooper S delivers a 204hp and 300Nm of torque, courtesyof a dual-petrol injection system that combines port and direct injection.

To maximise the electrified go-kart sensation in the Cooper SE, the battery is positioned to lower the centre of gravity.

Other intricate design decisions include optimising weight distribution and incorporating a direct steering ratio along a compact steering wheel.

Meanwhile, optimising tyre width improves its lateral dynamics and grip. This results in a delightful, iconic go-kart experience, which is further achieved via highly preloaded stabilisers and Servotronic steering.

With a gross battery capacity of 54.2kWh, the Cooper SE achieves a zero-emissions range of between 387 to 402km on a single charge.

The battery of the Cooper SE can be topped up with an AC Charger at 11kW, while DC Charging allows up to 95kW – the latter which brings the battery from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just under 30 minutes.

Adding to the ambience are the MINI Experience Modes, which uses specific light graphics to enhance the immersive driving experience, as well as the Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Standard features of the interior are Vescinsport seats, electric seat adjustment with memory, headliner anthracite, the interior and exterior mirror package, interior rear-view mirror with automatic anti-dazzle function, comfort access system and Comfort Package Plus.

Equipped as standard for the Cooper SE are the Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant Plus, with the former including Lane Change Warning with warning when turning and active lane return, Lane Departure Warning with active steering intervention, Speed Limit Info, Manual Speed Limit Assist, Cruise Control with braking function, Front Collision Warning with brake intervention, Evasion Assistant, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning with brake intervention, Rear-end Collision Prevention, and Exit Warning.

On the other hand, Parking Assistant Plus comes with Park Assist, which parks and exits the vehicle in parallel and perpendicular parking spaces, Active Park Distance Control, Reversing Assist Camera with panoramic rear view, Reversing Assistant, Parking View, Remote 3D View, Drive Recorder and Anti-Theft Recorder.

Besides that, the optional additional driver assistance feature – the Driving Assistant Plus will also be available to the New MINI Cooper SE, offering Active cruise control with Stop&Go, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Manual and Automatic Speed Limit Assistant.

The Cooper SE features the New MINI Operating System 9.

Meanwhile, the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant presents MINI’s first fully fledged voice assistant, enabling voice-controlled navigation, telephony entertainment and numerous other vehicle functions.

The MINI App is also available, providing access to many new functions.

These include Remote 3D View, generated via vehicle cameras taking pictures of the parked MINI’s surroundings, Remote Engine Start that starts the MINI’s engine automatically and brings the car to the desired temperature before boarding, MyTrips which provides information on the driver’s most recent journeys and driving style, and other new functions relating to e-mobility, such as start/stop charging and setting a desired charge level.

Through the MINI App, the MINI Digital Key Plus is also available, transforming a smartphone into a vehicle key.

The four new MINI cars are covered by MINI Malaysia’s 5-Year Roadside Assistance programme, available for all new MINI vehicles with a comprehensive list of services that include a 24-Hour, 365-days-a-year Accident and Help on the Phone and On the Spot Hotline, Free Towing Services and when needed (over 200km from residential home), Replacement Vehicle, Seamless Mobility, Accommodation, Mobility Services Solutions as well as Repatriation services.

The MINI Roadside Assistance programme can be accessed by contacting 1800-88-8808.

There's the standard two-year warranty, with an optional warranty and service extension.

Additionally, the Cooper SE and Countryman SE ALL4 are covered by an 8-Year/160,000km Battery Warranty (whichever comes first).

The new online service programme will now allow customers to schedule their service needs directly at their preferred MINI Authorised Dealerships via https://service.mini.my/.

With Easy Drive Financing by BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the Cooper SE, Cooper S, Countryman SE ALL4 and JCW Countryman ALL4 can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM2,021, RM2,581, RM2,777 and RM4,102 respectively (based on estimates of 75% loan, 100,000km mileage on a five-year tenure).

Customers can also benefit from a RM10,000 cash rebate upon registering for the Easy Drive Financing.

Whilst with the Straight-Line Financing Plan, customers can own the Cooper SE, Cooper S, Countryman SE ALL4 and JCW Countryman ALL4 with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM2,141, RM3,108, RM2,859 and RM4,330 respectively (based on estimates of an 75% loan on a seven-year tenure).
