MBM Resources donates RM300,000 to anti-Covid-19 cause

KUALA LUMPUR: MBM Resources Berhad donated RM300,000 to help support the nation’s healthcare system in the ongoing battle against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

Channelled through the Sumbangan Perubatan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, the allotted contribution will go towards the purchase of medicines, medical equipment and other medical necessities to ease the increasing weight experienced by hospitals around Malaysia.

Speaking on behalf of the company, MBM Resources chairman Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh said that the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia has had public hospitals working overtime and experiencing a shortage of medical supplies.

"The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated and as a socially responsible corporate citizen, it is our duty to aid the nation as much as we can."

Aminar said he and MBM  Resources thanked all medical personnel for serving the country in combating against Covid-19.

“Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to other frontliners involved in this crisis including the police, army, immigration, local authorities and others”, he added.

In compliance with the government’s Movement Control Order (MCO) and in support of a safer Malaysia, the company has suspended operations of its trading and manufacturing divisions and has extended a work-from-home directive, where applicable to the relevant employees.

During this period, the administrative office is closed. The management remains reachable at contact@mbmr.com.my.
