JPJ says it would not tolerate any corruption. — Bernama
PUTRAJAYA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will work with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to probe allegations by a social media influencer on illegal driving licences or "lesen terbang".The JPJ said the matter is being taken seriously and the influencer, Azrul Affandi Sobry, would be asked to assist in the investigation.
"We will not compromise on any form of misconduct involving JPJ employees if what Azrul Affandi said about JPJ enforcement members being involved in selling illegal licences is true," it said in a statement here today.
Through a post on social media, Azrul Affandi alleged there were JPJ officers who were involved in selling driving licences illegally by accepting bribes even though (candidates) did not pass the test set at the driving institute.
