KUALA LUMPUR: Lotus Cars Malaysia introduced the Eletre, a new base variant that is below the Eletre S and Eletre R, at an attractive entry price from RM598,800 on-the-road without insurance for Peninsular Malaysia.
The first deliveries of the all-electric hyper sports utility vehicle (SUV) is scheduled to begin in October.
The Eletre retains all the key attributes and driving dynamics of the Eletre S and Eletre R variants but without the bells and whistles of the fully specced Eletre S and Eletre R that are currently priced from RM698,000 and RM838,000 respectively.
Like the Eletre S and Eletre R variants, owners of the Eletre are also able to customise the level of trim and equipment in their vehicle although the full array of options is not available to them.
The Eletre also projects its own distinct individual personality, just as the Eletre S underlines ultra luxury and the Eletre R ultra performance.
Similar to the Eletre S, like the Eletre is powered by a single-speed system capable of delivering 603hp and 710Nm of torque with 0-100kph sprint of 4.5 seconds.
It is also capable of achieving top speeds of 258kph and a maximum WLTP driving range of 600km.
Powering the Eletre is a 112kWh battery and rapid charging of 10% to 80% can be done in just 20 minutes with its 350kW charger.
Its 20-inch 5-spoke aero alloy wheels with four-piston brake callipers can be upgraded to the 22-inch Grey Diamond Turned wheels and six-piston calipers for RM30,000.
Other upgrades available under an Optimization Pack include side cameras and an active rear spoiler to further maximise the range of the Eletre.
All variants of the Eletre are equipped with a comprehensive suite of intelligent Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and top flight in-car entertainment.
This includes Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a driver monitoring system, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning/Prevention (LKA+), Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Information (TSI), Front and Rear Park Assist, Visual Park Assist and Lotus Intelligent Dynamic Chassis Control.
It is also available with five drive modes Range, Tour, Sport, Off-Road and Individual, while the R has the addition of a Track mode.
Also standard in the Eletre is a 1,380-watt, 15-speaker KEF Premium set-up up with Uni-Q and surround sound technology that delivers a more coherent and hyper-realistic sound experience.
Two new colours are being introduced for the Eletre which is Akoya White and Cinnabar Red.
Standard exterior colours available include Kaimu Grey, Solar Yellow, Natron Red, Galloway Green, Stellar Black and Blossom Grey.
All variants of the Eletre come with a five-year/150,000km manufacturer’s warranty, while the battery comes with an eight-year/200,000km warranty.
Lotus Cars Malaysia also announced that the Emeya all-electric Hyper-GT (Grand Tourer) is open for booking now.
