PUCHONG: WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), a subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd, has updated its lineup of the GAC GS3 Emzoom compact sports utility vehicle with two new locally-assembled offerings.
The GS3 Emzoom Standard is priced at RM103,800 and the higher-tier GS3 Emzoom Premium comes at RM116,800.
The GS3 Emzoom Exclusive was previously launched in April together with the range-topping GS3 Emzoom Premium R as fully-imported units.
The Emzoom Premium R, priced at RM126,800, had been offered as a locally-assembled variant since August.
In comparison, the locally-assembled GSC3 Emzoom Exclusive and Premium R variants are priced RM2,100 lower than the fully-imported counterparts which are no longer offered.
All variants are sold with a five-year/150,000km warranty.
The first 2,000 buyers will get a seven-year/180,000km engine and transmission warranty, subject to official terms and conditions.
To commemorate the success of its first GAC local assembling project, WTCA has rolled out the Rev Up with Emzoom campaign that runs till Dec 31.
Cash rebates of RM5,000 and RM7,000 will be available for the Exclusive and Premium R variants respectively.
Buyers can also opt for a bundling of Complimentary Maintenance Service and Smart Watch Key worth RM1,388 in lieu of lower cash rebates.
All variants of the GS3 Emzoom are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine delivering 177PS and 270Nm of torque mated to a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
The combination enables a 0-100kph acceleration of 8.0 seconds for the front-wheel-drive vehicle while meeting the Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) standards with an average fuel consumption of only 5.9 litres per 100km.
Featuring a class-leading wheelbase of 2,650mm, the GS3 Emzoom offers plenty of space and interior comfort.
All variants get a futuristic styling, thanks to the Mecha Wing grille, Laser Eye Split LED headlights and electric hidden door handles.
The dynamic front end is matched in the rear by Light Dart rear lights and a sporty Rear Spoiler while 18-inch alloy wheels complete the look across the three variants.
Meanwhile, the GS3 Emzoom Premium R gets the unique R-Style Sport Package and R-Style Exhaust.
Also featured across the range are a blue-and-black interior colour scheme, GAC’s signature crystal electronic gear shift and multi-function steering wheel with four-way tilt and telescopic adjustment.
Advanced features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android phone mirroring, electronic parking brake with auto hold and Blind Spot Vision (BSV) are also standard throughout the range.
Exclusive to the GS3 Emzoom Premium R are automatic headlights, High Beam Assist, Fusion Automatic Parking Assist, six-way power adjustment for the driver seat, multi-colour ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charger, hands-free power tailgate and a panoramic sunroof.
The GS3 Emzoom Standard is offered in Frost White and Asphalt Black while GS3 Emzoom Exclusive comes with two additional choices of Salt Lake Blue and Superstar Silver.
The GS3 Emzoom Premium R features all colours plus an exclusive Graphite Grey colour, in addition to the sporty orange exterior trim.
Asphalt Black and Graphite Grey are exclusive to the locally-assembled GS3 Emzoom units and are currently not offered outside the Malaysian market.
Warisan TC Holdings chief executive officer Tan Keng Meng said the GS3 Emzoom lineup was well-received when launched as a fully-imported model in April.
"The completion of the locally-assembled project, which is now offered in three variants to make its class-leading qualities more accessible to a wider demographic, is only the start of the GAC journey here in Malaysia.
