By CARSIFU | 20 March 2025CHUMPHON (Thailand): Major Chinese tyre maker Linglong Tyre has opened its first overseas training centre in the Asia-Pacific region - in Chumphon province, Thailand (a gateway to southern Thailand) - in a joint venture with Sanguan Yangyont Chumphon Co Ltd (SYY).
The training centre spans 1,600 sq metres, and features a training zone, classrooms, hands-on workshops, and a service area (brand shop).
The training zone is equipped with advanced facilities and materials, accommodating over 50 trainees simultaneously.
Classrooms and workshops integrate theoretical and practical learning to ensure mastery of professional skills.
The service area simulates real-world scenarios, offering services such as tire disassembly/installation, wheel alignment, and wheel balancing, along with sales and maintenance of automotive parts including batteries, brake pads, engine oil, shock absorbers, and rims.
Additionally, the service area includes a spacious customer lounge and café, providing a comfortable waiting environment with beverage services.
In a statement, Linglong Tyre says this milestone signifies an upgraded service system for Linglong in the Asia-Pacific region, with significant implications for improving service standards, enhancing distributor capabilities, and delivering more professional and premium brand experiences to consumers.
Linglong Tyre vice president Xu Yongchao stated, "This training centre, jointly developed with SYY, is a crucial component of Linglong's strategic expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. We aim to establish service standards and safety protocols for service providers and distributors through this platform, thereby elevating their service capabilities and market competitiveness."
SYY chairman Prasert Tanpibulsak said, "We are confident that this platform will empower our distributors to serve consumers with greater professionalism and efficiency, jointly driving Linglong's sustained growth in the Thai market."
