Lexus RC and RC F reach final lap with 2025 farewell editions

PLANO (Texas, USA): After a decade on the market and over 90,000 units sold globally across 62 regions, Lexus has announced the discontinuation of the RC and RC F by the end of 2025.

As their final bow, the 2025 RC line receives minor updates, while the high-performance RC F will be available exclusively as a mono spec Final Edition.

Deliveries are expected to start in the first quarter of 2025.

The Lexus RC range continues to offer various powertrains, including a 241hp/350Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the RC 300 and a 311hp/380Nm 3.5-litre V6 in the RC 350, with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options available.

The RC 350 accelerates from 0-100kph in as little as 5.9 seconds. Updates for the 2025 model year include red brake calipers on F SPORT rear-wheel drive variants.

The RC F Final Edition distinguishes itself with its naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 producing 472hp, allowing a 0-100ph sprint in 4.3 seconds.

Mechanical refinements include an F-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension, Brembo brakes and a handcrafted rear differential optimised for improved acceleration and deceleration responses.

Exterior highlights include a carbon fibre roof, spoiler, and rear diffuser, complemented by lightweight 19-inch BBS alloy wheels.

Buyers can choose from four colours: Incognito, Radiant Red, Sonic Iridium, and Ultra White.

Inside, the RC F Final Edition features a black and red leather and Ultrasuede interior, a Mark Levinson premium audio system, and a 10.3-inch touchscreen.

A carbon fibre plaque marks each car's production number, underscoring its exclusivity.

Both the RC and RC F come equipped with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes advanced features such as Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Road Sign Assist. These technologies reinforce Lexus’s focus on safety and driver convenience.

The decision to discontinue the RC and RC F reflects Lexus’s evolving strategy in response to market demands and shifts towards electrification.
