KLIMS 2024 ends after seven days with 183,000 visitors


KUALA LUMPUR: The 10th edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) concluded on a high note, welcoming 183,221 visitors across seven days.

Held at at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and showcasing nearly 70 leading automotive and mobility brands, the event explored the theme "Beyond Mobility", bringing sustainability and electrification to the forefront of innovation.

The mobility showcase which ran from Dec 5 to 11, featured notable participants such as Toyota, Perodua, Proton, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Great Wall Motor (GWM), MG Motor, XPeng, Modenas, Kawasaki, Aion, Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson, Peugeot and Leapmotor.

The impressive array of concept cars and prototypes displayed included Toyota presenting innovations like the FT-3e, Land Cruiser SE, Hilux FCEV, and the versatile Kayoibako.

Nissan captivated visitors with its futuristic Hyper Tourer, while Honda introduced the sleek Prelude Concept alongside the compact and foldable Honda Motocompacto electric scooter, as well as its groundbreaking eVTOL flying car concept.

Representing local ingenuity, Perodua showcased the eMO-II, its EV concept car and the bold Ativa Fuze concept, further highlighting Malaysia's automotive potential.

Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said KLIMS 2024 is a testament to Malaysia's expanding influence in the global mobility landscape.

KLIMS 2024 also delighted visitors with exciting prizes, including the grand prize winner Mohd Azzarain Abdul Aziz who drove away in a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited, and the first prize winner Leaw Xiu Qi, who took home a Perodua Axia.


Exhibitors were celebrated for their exceptional creativity and design excellence, with the prestigious Best Booth Design Awards recognising standout winners across multiple categories.

In the OEM Category (400sq m and above), UMW Toyota Motor was declared the first place winner, followed by Proton Holdings in second and Perodua Sales in third.

Stellantis Malaysia emerged as the overall winner in the OEM Category (399sq m and below).


In the Non-OEM Category, PECCA Leather took the top spot, with Wedrink Enterprise Management (Malaysia) securing second and Didi Group rounding out the top three at third place.

The Best Booth Design Awards were evaluated based on criteria including visual appeal with eye-catching graphics and clear brand representation in line with the theme "Beyond Mobility," efficient space utilisation encouraging visitor interaction, functionality to support product demonstrations and presentations, and interactivity through engaging elements like VR experiences, touch screens, and hands-on displays.

These prizes, along with the show’s success, were celebrated during the Appreciation High-tea hosted by MAA, where exhibitors were acknowledged for their creativity and innovation.
