Kirill took part in karting prior to his debut participation in Season 2 of the race series.

Additionally, five new drivers who were given a welcoming ovation will be taking part in Season 3.

The new drivers are Eshton Yong (13), Austin Rajasooria (15), Imran Iskandar (17), Ng Jun Yang (38) and Prema Rani (41).

The racing series sees young drivers and racing aspirants driving identically prepared Suzuki Swift race cars to help make racing more affordable with only limited modifications allowed.

All cars come race-ready and are powered by a production and sealed 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated engine that's mated to a five-speed standard ratio manual transmission.

While the cars are fitted with a 12-point roll cage, an FIA-approved racing seat and safety harness are fitted as standard.

There is also series-spec equipment that includes an engine remap, coil over suspension and lower arms, brake pads with steel-braided brake lines, 4-1 extractor and alloy wheels.

Participants have the option of buying the race car outright or renting it in a special arrive-and-drive programme.

Lee said the format of a one-make race emphasizes on honing skills and the development of new talent on the track while keeping costs affordable and within reach of a larger talent pool.

"We’ve successfully run the series for two years and coming into our third year, there seems to be a great boost in the level of interest from newcomers,” said Lee.

The race series; first held in 2023, is touted to incorporate proper guidance and education to minimise learning costs while accelerating the learning curve of aspiring racers.

Additionally, future racers can hone their skills through the academy’s comprehensive coursework, including classroom and on-track sessions, before graduating and becoming certified for racing.
