PETALING JAYA: Isuzu Malaysia has unveiled the D-Max Low-Ride 4x2 manual transmission, said to be one of the most affordable double cab pick-up trucks on local roads.
The "inflation beating" pick-up truck variant comes with on-the-road without insurance price from RM92,199 (Peninsular Malaysia), RM94,279 (Sabah) and RM94,170 (Sarawak).
Owners will also get 5-year or 150,000km warranty with delivery starting next month.
The new versatile Isuzu workhorse is aimed at urban and sub-urban businesses that require easy loading, excellent space and low running costs to boost their business efficiency.
Powered by a fuel-efficient 1.9-litre RZ4E-TC turbodiesel engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, the D-Max Low-Ride has similar specifications with the base Isuzu D-Max 1.9-litre Single Cab variant with minor enhancements.
The 1.9-litre engine proved its fuel efficiency prowess when it was driven a whopping 2,000km using just one tank of diesel and earning its place in the record books.
With a cargo deck that is only 78cm from ground, the loading and unloading of large and small items are easy.
Its comfortably interior can seat five persons and is ideal for businesses that require movement of manpower and equipment to provide on-site services.
Features include fabric seats, a single-DIN Bluetooth-ready entertainment system, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering column, central locking, electronically-adjustable door mirrors, Follow-Me Home lights and reverse sensors.
Its two airbags, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Brake Override System (BOS) and Emergency Stop Signals also raise the safety level.
The D-Max Low-Ride also scored the highest 5-star Asean NCAP safety rating.
