Ineos Automotive unveils custom-built ‘Kaiju Quartermaster’ in Australia

MELBOURNE: Ineos Automotive’s Australian division has introduced a one-off custom Grenadier Quartermaster Cab Chassis, named the "Kaiju Quartermaster."

Drawing inspiration from the Japanese term for "giant creature" or "monster," the name underscores the vehicle's robust capabilities and reflects Australia's enthusiasm for modified Japanese 4x4s.

Built in collaboration with leading accessory suppliers, including Norweld, Rhino-Rack, REDARC, and BF Goodrich, the all-black Kaiju Quartermaster is designed as an overland-ready off-roader.

It highlights the extensive customisation options available for Grenadier and Quartermaster models. The vehicle features a Norweld Elite Tray and Compact Deluxe Lite Canopy, engineered for durability in extreme conditions, with advanced sealing systems for dust and water resistance.

Other enhancements include a Brown Davis long-range fuel tank, adding 168 liters of capacity to the factory-installed 90-litre tank, and a comprehensive REDARC battery management system with lithium batteries and inverters to support off-grid energy needs.

Justin Hocevar, Regional Director, APAC at Ineos Automotive, described the Kaiju Quartermaster as a “truly unique” creation, born from collaboration with innovative local partners.

“The Quartermaster Cab Chassis is a blank canvas...together with these project partners, we let our imagination run wild,” Hocevar said.

Unusually for the industry, Ineos Automotive extends its vehicle warranty to cover select aftermarket components purchased through official accessory partners, ensuring customer confidence in custom builds.

The Kaiju Quartermaster will be showcased at events across Australia in the coming months.
