Hyundai may develop 'lifestyle pickup', says exec
By REUTERS | 21 November 2022SEOUL: Hyundai Motor Co is considering development of additional pickups for the US market, including a "lifestyle" truck, according to Jose Munoz, the Korean automaker's global president.
"I don't see us competing in the full-size pickup market," Munoz said last Friday at an industry conference.
Hyundai is already selling the Santa Cruz in the US. The Santa Cruz is Hyundai's first pick-up truck, priced from US$25,450 (RM115,000).
The automaker introduced the long-awaited compact pickup aimed at urban dwellers in April 2021.
