KUALA LUMPUR: The one-day Fiesta Ride Smart, Ride Selamat road safety campaign was recently held by Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd (HLYM), in collaboration with the Malaysia Motorcycle Scooter Dealers’ Association (MMSDA), at Stadium Bola Sepak Kuala Lumpur in Cheras.
Meanwhile, from April 1st to April 7th, selected Yamaha dealers will provide free bike inspection services.
This year, the campaign aimed to promote safer motorcycle-riding practices to female riders in conjunction with International Women’s Day.
By inclusively assembling single mothers, representatives from social enterprises, and women entrepreneurs, the event served as a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and fostering empowerment.
Participants enjoyed thrilling activities such as the Dewi Smart Ride Challenge, PW 50 Ride, Treasure Hunt and had chances to win 2 motorcycle units and other exciting prizes.
Complimentary bike inspections for all motorcycle brands were given.
Riders also received free safety jackets sponsored by P&O and participated in an exchange helmet programme at booths hosted by Aeon Credit Service (M) Berhad and KHI.
