Honda teases 0 Series EV prototypes for CES 2025

TOKYO: Honda will reveal two new electric vehicle prototypes at CES 2025, marking the next phase of its ambitious electrification strategy.

These models, set for global release in 2026, are part of the Honda 0 Series, a lineup that will expand to seven EVs by 2030.

The prototypes include a sleek sedan, which builds on the design of the previous year’s Saloon EV Concept, and a more boxy SUV with a spacious interior, potentially rivalling models like the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9.

At the Jan 7-10 CES event in Las Vegas, Honda will also showcase a new vehicle operating system and automated driving technologies, marking a major step towards fully integrated Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs).

This new operating system, a core element of Honda's "Thin, Light and Wise" development approach, will support the 0 Series models, enhancing the driving experience with advanced features.

The upcoming lineup will include a range of models, starting with a midsize SUV and an entry-level vehicle, with more variants, including a three-row SUV and compact options, following each year until 2029.

Alongside the vehicle prototypes, Honda will introduce a new energy service aimed at supporting carbon neutrality in its push towards sustainable mobility.
