Honda CR-V Black Edition unveiled from RM162,000

PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia has unveiled the CR-V Black Edition, a new variant that features all dark finishes for a stylish and confident outlook.

Priced at RM161,913 (on-the-road price without insurance and without sales tax), the CR-V Black Edition expands Honda Malaysia's line-up of the best-selling sports utility vehicle to the current three variants of 2.0L 2WD, 1.5L TC-P 2WD and 1.5L TC-P 4WD.

The CR-V Black Edition stands out with its bold and rugged appearance, combined with Next Generation Advanced Safety Technology and premium features.

Enhancing the CR-V Black Edition’s aggressive look are the New Black Front Grille with Honda Signature LED Headlights and New Black Front Bumper Garnish.

Inside, the steering wheel, 7-inch Interactive Thin Film Transistor (TFT) meter and air conditioning garnish are finished in piano black while the centre console, dashboard and door trim sport a black wood garnish.

The all-black theme is also carried through to the headlining and seats with the “Black Edition” embroidery on the front seats.

Under the hood is a 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine which delivers 193PS and maximum torque of 243Nm that is more powerful and fuel efficient than a naturally aspirated 2.4L engine.

Its smart features include Remote Engine Start, Hands-Free Power Tailgate and the full suite of Honda Sensing driving aid.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Madoka Chujo said the CR-V was the first Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) model in Honda Malaysia’s line-up in 2003.
