Harman Kardon introduces Flow series audio systems for premium in-car sound
By CARSIFU | 18 October 2024PETALING JAYA: Harman Kardon has launched its latest Flow series car audio system, promising studio-quality sound for vehicles.
The range includes top-tier models such as the Flow 600CF, Flow 601CFS, Flow 300S, Flow 75T, Flow 80, and Feel 700, combining advanced audio technology with luxury design to create a concert-like experience for drivers and passengers.
The products are priced as follows: Flow 600CF at RM4,280; Flow 601CFS at RM3,480; Flow 300S at RM2,180; Flow 75T at RM580; Flow 80 at RM1,480; and Feel 700 at RM2,280.
The Flow 600CF and Flow 601CFS are 6.5-inch two-way component speaker systems designed for natural, detailed sound. They feature aluminium Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) cones and Plus One technology, offering dynamic audio range and a natural listening experience. These systems can function as a three-way system when combined with the 3-inch Flow midrange speaker.
The Flow 300S is a 3-inch midrange woofer that delivers strong low-frequency sound and easy installation. It provides a smooth audio range with a sensitivity over 91dB, ensuring rich sound across various driving conditions. Its compact design allows it to fit most vehicles, offering signature Harman Kardon sound in more car models.
The Flow 75T tweeter, with its 3/4-inch edge-driven silk dome, enhances high-frequency sound clarity. It features a high-resolution frequency response from 2kHz to 40kHz and handles up to 360W of peak power. The tweeter’s precision-engineered components help eliminate distortion, ensuring clear and crisp sound reproduction.
The Flow 80 subwoofer is an 8-inch under-seat subwoofer designed specifically for BMW, Audi, and Porsche models. This shallow-depth subwoofer provides a powerful bass boost while fitting snugly in luxury vehicles. The front magnet grille and innovative venting ensure top performance, making it a solid upgrade for factory audio systems.
The Feel 700 is a 7-inch powered under-seat subwoofer, designed to add impactful bass without taking up space. With a built-in 125W RMS amplifier and advanced Class D technology, it delivers deep bass in a compact form.
The subwoofer is encased in a die-cast aluminum enclosure and fits seamlessly under car seats, offering an easy audio upgrade.
Beyond sound quality, the Flow series is designed with luxury and sustainability in mind. Harman Kardon's PurePath and Clari-Fi technologies ensure clear, full-bodied sound even at lower volumes, restoring the rich details lost in digital compression.
Harman Kardon said these audio systems integrate smoothly into any vehicle, providing a refined in-car sound experience.
Members of the media were introduced yesterday to the Flow series alongside Harman Kardon's latest Enchant series of soundbars and speakers that promise to create a home 3D cinematic experience.
At the event, an F30 BMW 3 Series and a Toyota Vellfire featuring the Flow series of audio components were installed for invitees to listen to and compare the difference in setup between a compact car and a large car.
