KOTA KINABALU: Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, has opened the first BYD 3S centre in Kota Kinabalu.
The state-of-the-art 3S facility is operated by dealer Regas EV Sabah and spans an impressive 1,288sq m and comes with a full spectrum of services including sales consultations, vehicle test drives and aftersales support.
Operated by its authorised dealership, Regas EV Sabah, this milestone marks a significant step forward in bringing BYD’s cutting-edge electric mobility and low-carbon solutions closer to the people of Sabah.
The facility is located at Lot 33, Sedco Industrial Estate, Jalan Lintas here.
With the launch of the new 3S centre, BYD has a total of three outlets in East Malaysia.
To enhancing BYD’s aftersales support, Sime Motors and Regas EV are also by introducing services by authorised body and paint centres.
BYD Kota Kinabalu is also one of the first EV outlets in Sabah equipped with two DC super charger units featuring four charging guns.

With the advanced chargers delivering up to 180kW of power, customers can be assured of a fast and efficient charging experience.
Sime Motors retail and distribution, Southeast Asia, managing director Jeffrey Gan said the new 3S centre would enhance the experience of BYD customers in East Malaysia.

BYD which is marking its second anniversary in Malaysia on Dec 8, is running a campaign to celebrate the occasion.
