SHAH ALAM: Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON), a leading multi-brand dealership in Malaysia and a wholly owned subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Bhd, has officially opened its smart 3S (sales, service and spare parts) dealership.
The smart 3S dealership marks EON's entry into the electric vehicle market and is part of its commitment towards sustainable mobility.
The new RM4mil EON smart Glenmarie dealership is located at 2, Persiaran Kerjaya, Hicom-Glenmarie Industrial Park and operates from 8.30am to 5.30pm from Monday to Saturday while on Sundays and public holidays, it is from 10am to 4pm.
The 3S centre's service hours are from 8.30am to 5.30pm from Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 1pm on Saturday. It remains closed on Sundays and public holidays.
The 4,362 sq ft facility can showcase up to three display cars and even has a dedicated bay for new car deliveries.
While the dealership provides free Wi-Fi, it also possesses a customer lounge that's complemented by a cafe area, discussion lounge and a dedicated children's room.
The aftersales service area is touted to be equipped with four service bays - two of which are for service and repair while one is for high voltage service and another is reserved for wheel alignment services.
Along with eight customer parking spaces, two 22kW AC chargers and one 60kW DC charger are available for public use.
Present at the launch were Pro-Net chief executive officer Zhang Qiang along with DRB-Hicom automotive distribution head and EON chief executive officer Akkbar Danial as well as DRB-Hicom group chief operating officer and corporate services Datuk Jezilee Mohamad Ramli.
“We anticipate our smart 3S dealership will play a pivotal role in meeting the rising demand for smart #1 and making a significant impact on the local EV (electric vehicle) market,” said Akkbar.
Meanwhile, a smart #1 was presented to Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat yang dipertua Datuk Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim during a handover ceremony who took delivery on behalf of the municipal council for its environmentally sustainable endeavours.
